  • July 7, 2023 - Scientists have discovered a heat-emitting mass of granite buried beneath the surface on the far side of the moon, as detailed below:

This discovery is a reminder of what Onisaburo Deguchi says about the Moon, which he describes as a round object with two hemispheres of water and fire, respectively, in Volume 4 of his Reikai Monogatari:
The Moon is spherical in shape, half of which is made up of water and is thus a transparent body. This hemisphere is luminescent while the other a total fire body, as shown in the figure below.

The Moon sends water to or draws it from the Earth through the chiseki tide as it travels from west to east in the center between the taiku and the daichi. This results in the natural phenomenon of tidal ebb and flow.

For details, see Divine Revelations on the Cosmos

Onisaburo dictated Volume 4 of the Monogatari to his scribes in Taisho 10, or 1921! Surprisingly, he already unraveled a mystery of the Moon a little over a century ago!

Incidentally, Onisaburo also says that the Moon is the mother of celestial bodies, as shown below:
Scholars today do not know anything, and astronomers are the most ignorant among them. They just do not know anything when they come up with all kinds of theories about those concave/convex shapes on the Moon's surface, including one asserting that they are the remains of craters. Those black-looking shapes are actually the remains of holes through which the Moon gave birth to stars. Like humans, stars also grow up steadily even when they were born small. It is no mystery why there are bigger stars than the Moon; there are countless people who are bigger than their parents - the same logic.

The three stars in Orion's Belt were the first ones born from the Moon. Hence they are the eldest children of the Moon. The mother of those stars is the Moon, and their father, the Sun. The Moon gave birth to one star after another as it and the Sun combined their i-ki ("water-fire" or "breath"). This is why the newborns are called ho-shi ("fire-water" or "star").

Celestial bodies belonging to the solar system were all born from the Moon. Therefore, the Moon is called the Mother Deity, or the Maitreya Deity.
